Job Summary
Supporting and conducting technical work on machines, mainly plastic sheet extruder and thermoforming machines, as well as supporting mechanical and electrical equipment, such as air compressors, chillers, grinders and electrical installation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Technology
- Solve production and machines disruptions
- Perform readjustments to machines
- Tuning activities
- Operate and start up machines when required
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance
- Install and fabricate, alone or heading an in-house or contracted team, mechanical, plumbing or electrical equipment and conduits
- Repair mechanical, plumbing or electrical equipment and conduits
- Perform mold cleanup and basic mold maintenance and adjustment
- Administration
- Manage mold change and release production when required
- Reporting of malfunctions and time schedules of readjustments done
- Issue and manage RFQs for contractors’ scope. Recommend supplier/ contractor selection
- Follow up contractors’ scope and performance, sign-off contractors work, progress reports and invoices (prior to management sign off)
- Replace machine technicians during absence or break
- Manage the technical warehouse
- Quality
- Perform technical adjustments to ensure good product quality
- Report and solve quality problems related to the machines and equipment
- Participate in the preparation of spec sheet for equipment to be purchased. Review and recommend supplier and item selection based on technical data
- Safety
- Report unsafe situations and operate with complete safety precautions
- Order and cleanliness
- Maintain 5S in the technical and maintenance areas
- Compliance technical and relevant sections of theBRC regulation
Qualifications
Education: Relevant education or relevant experience in a similar field
Work Experience: A solid experience in a similar field
Technical Skills:
- Basic computer skills sufficient for the job
- Knowledge of the machines operating software or ability to learn it
Language / Communication Skills:
- English
- Smooth and clear communication, including electronic
